Generally what is needed is an official copy of one’s birth certificate together with a picture ID- such as a driver’s license. An applicant needs to prove whom they are and that they are U.S. citizens.
The cost of an adult Passport is $67.00 plus a $30.00 execution fee. There are different costs for children and for expedited or other services. It will take between 4 and 6 weeks to receive a passport. However there is a process available to issue passports very quickly when there is an emergency.
